12 Royals Support the Troops
The Polar Bears 12 Royals team recently sent 4 boxes of supplies and goodies to a US troop stationed in Iraq. To go along with the care boxes, everyone on the team wrote heartwarming letters to let the soldiers know how much they care about them and appreciate their service. The packages were sent to Lt. Daniel Vitale, Jean Vitale’s son, and his platoon. Last month, Lt. Vitale’s lead truck in his convoy was hit with an explosively formed projectile. The lead truck team leader suffered serious injuries but his troop was able to save his life.
Below is a sampling of quotes from the wonderful letters the girls wrote:
Thank you so much for fighting for our country.
I hope you stay safe.
You are very brave and kind.
My family will keep you in our prayers.
I’m very grateful for all the work you and many other soldiers do for our country.
Go Polar Bears!
Don’t give up. Stay strong and do not back down.
I hope that you have a safe and happy holiday – you definitely deserve one!
Thank you for all the ways that you have risked your lives to keep people like me safe from harm’s way.
Be safe and careful.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you took for us. Keep your head in the game, or war for that matter, and we’ll all be waiting for you at the finish line.
